I have solved this problem for many different companies. I encourage you to publish your helm charts to an OCI store and treat them as artifacts. Then reference those artifacts directly. This way, each helm chart gets its own version and is released independently. Argo CD can also (since version 3.2 or so) watch OCI sources and pull helm charts from there based on semantic version constraints.
